1. Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using vortelique.com, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the site. If you are under the age required to agree to online terms in your location, a parent or legal guardian should review these terms with you.

2. What Vortelique provides

Vortelique is an independent editorial website that reviews and compares free-to-play online games. We provide commentary, scores, filters and links to official publisher or authorised store pages. We do not host the reviewed games, create game accounts, operate multiplayer servers or guarantee that a title will remain available.

3. Free-play and no-money policy

“Free”, “free-to-play” and “free to start” mean that the publisher currently allows access to the core game without an initial purchase. Publishers may offer optional cosmetic items, passes, expansions, subscriptions or other in-game purchases. Those offers are made by the publisher or platform—not by Vortelique—and are governed by their terms. Availability, pricing and regional access may change.

Nothing on Vortelique is financial advice, a prize promotion or an invitation to gamble. We do not exchange game items or virtual currency for money.

4. Editorial reviews and scores

Our reviews and scores are opinions based on the criteria described on the site, including gameplay, free value, New Zealand fit and community care. They are not guarantees of quality, compatibility, safety or future performance. A review date indicates when we last assessed the listing; a later game update may change the experience.

We aim to identify paid placements clearly. The current shortlist contains no paid ranking positions. Game artwork, names and platform information are used for identification and remain the property of their respective owners.

5. External games, links and purchases

Links may take you to third-party websites, stores or game launchers. Those services control their own accounts, age checks, purchases, refunds, community rules, privacy practices and security. Vortelique is not a party to your agreement with them and is not responsible for their content or availability.

Before installing or playing, check system requirements, data use, age classification, chat features, parental controls and the publisher’s current terms. Never share a password or payment details with someone claiming to represent Vortelique.

6. Acceptable use

You must not:

• use the site unlawfully or to harm, threaten or harass others;
• attempt to bypass security, probe vulnerabilities or interfere with availability;
• introduce malware, automated scraping that overloads the service, or misleading links;
• misrepresent an affiliation with Vortelique; or
• copy or republish substantial parts of our original reviews without permission.

We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect the service or others.

7. Intellectual property

Vortelique’s original writing, scoring system, branding, layout and code are owned by or licensed to us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may use the site for personal, non-commercial reference. Game titles, logos, screenshots and artwork belong to their respective publishers or licensors. Their appearance does not imply sponsorship or endorsement.

8. Availability, disclaimers and liability

We provide the site on an “as available” basis. We work to keep information accurate, but we do not promise that every link, platform, score, price or feature is complete or current. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the site or a third-party game.

Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 where it applies.

9. Changes and New Zealand law

We may update the site and these terms. The revised terms apply from the effective date shown above. These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and New Zealand courts have non-exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer law that applies where you live.
